Hi, found you and your site via following your awesome "Cave Story Remix Project" tracks.
All of your contribution to the project was great, but of course the song that got me most was "Escape route". So peaceful, relaxing and inspiring. It's hard to recall the feeling now, as I've listened to it over and over like a hundred times, but I was mesmerized the first time I heard it. It really touches the imagination and one can find himself in another world when listening to it with closed eyes - perfect for the atmosphere of the CaveStory game.
I also quite enjoyed all your other electronic music. Specifically was nicely surprised by the little Hhgttg tribute song, because I was just getting through the book at the time.
Much more would need to be said here, but I find it hard to gather all my thoughts at this time and also this forum doesn't seem to be that active and I have no way of knowing whether this post is going to be read at all.
Anyway, I have a little question for future purposes - would you ever consider allowing the usage of an existing track or creating a short track/loop for an online flash game/minigame?
May not seem to be the most compelling thought at first - but when visitors like the music that accompanies a game, they often ask for the author and follow links from the credits - so to a certain extent it's good publicity.
Either way, thx for the great music and keep up the good work (and more electronic music! :D )

NW,
Sorry for getting back to you so late. As you said, this forum is not very active, so I don't check it very often.
As for your question, I would be happy to let you use any of my existing tracks for a flash animation or whatever, as long as proper credit is given, etc. I'm sure you know the drill. If you end up doing it let me know and give me a link! I'd love to see it.
Thanks for your input! Glad you like my stuff.

Wow, I'm flattered that someone actually keeps up with my site. Thanks!
I have actually written a couple newer arrangements. Go to http://www.vgmix.com/members/41/audio.php and check out "Sanctuary" and "Shooting Stars", both of which are not available on my site (I guess I should put them there eh?).
If you want to keep up with what I'm doing professionally, as well as get some free music, bookmark www.oceanstarproductions.com. This is my business site for recording, which I do a lot at my college and around GA. _________________ Nerd +1 |

Wooo finally... I think i nicked it...
If I may be so bold - I'm a kickass game/flash/entertainment-media coder - but my one huge flaw is that I'm insanely lazy and don't know how to be my own boss. Sucks really - for the past 3 months when I iz be unemployed after quiting my good but unfufilling job - I haven't done much - and I have dozens of started projects with their most crucial parts done - but I just can't force myself into finishing them despite knowing how good they might turn out.
But now I think I finally recalled what I did in the "old days" when i got way more done than now - turn off the tv - and only turn on some good music
Which now is electronic chillout mostly. (I used to love trance and a bit of techno but not as much now)
I did the mistakes of turning on my Simpson DVD Season compilations on the tv and trying to work while listening to the show and the great episodes of past seasons looping. It's great - and kinda inspiring - but it amuses too much and destracts you from work.
Amoug's the great Winamp sounds that now inspire me too finish a short but fun halloween game is - Enigma: Voyageur, Xerxes: Siberia, Enya - Orinoco Flow AND Corran: X3 Tetris
God I love your sense, ur interpretation of "electronica" - I don't know how you yourself call your music - but I call it my fav, texbook example of good electronica tracks :3
(btw - a good source of tracks such as the mentioned about is "IO radio ambient" - I hate having to be attached to a stream radio - so I just use a stream-ripper instead of actually listening to it live It even divides it into files (including commetcial files) buaha)
How do YOU motivate urself into making things for yourself? You made a whole album and plenty of awesome full tracks for various outlets (such as my still favorite Escape Route). I admire your "legacy" if u can call it that - regardless of who of us two have more traffic on their personal-work sites - I do think you made a better "exegi monumentum" than me and it'll take alot of work for me too actually catch up - kudos for that
On a last note: Do you happen to have any music made that might be a good atmo setter for halloween? I don't treat it as seriously so it doesn't have to be "serios" at all - nor would it need to be finished. A 1min loop would be fine.
If you don't it's still all good - I'm just gonna go with this one :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gZJSW_7YLVs
It's so old I assume it's free for use by now.
I'll be sure to link you to the game when it's done
cheers |

A little late, but:
I motivate myself to arrange things based on how much I like a certain song. Which is why I actually have several things on the "to remix" list from games that I've played more recently.
However, it is partly a "creative outlet" so I do struggle sometimes with "writer's block," though moreso in my original compositions of course. Also, having time to do things is also helpful
Anyway, I don't have any Halloween tunes per se, though my first remix from many, MANY years ago was called "Mario Goes to Hell," so it might be slightly in that vein! It's not very good though.
This reminds me, I really need to make a "real" website for my works (like, bryangarris.com or similar). I hate this old googlepages site. _________________ Nerd +1 |

I may offer my help considering myslef quite the cocky "flash & web wiz" also being able to fake graphical skill.
But note I'm hella unreliable so any kind of work would come along slowely.
Just link me to some google images of pictures ud like to create the theme of your site and I'll see what kind of mockup I can do.
Also as noted my short attention span - just..."remeniscet" (remembered nostalgically) this thing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FS_UDx3Wk7A
Dontcha think MDK had some great songs?
gots the whole OST of it in my winamp. |

Actually I have another website that I would just "copy" the design from, but thanks for offering. It's really basic but I like basic.
www.oceanstarproductions.com
This is it, it's my official website for my business.
